Bti  Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis, is a bacterium that controls mosquitoes and black flies in their larval filter feeding stage of development. The larvae die after consuming the bacteria that causes a disease specific to them but are harmless to all other forms of domestic and wildlife. Within 24 hours of exposure mosquito/black fly larvae will die. Bti granular can be easily broadcast into irrigation ditches,flood water, standing ponds, woodland pools, snow melt, pools, catch basin, storm water, water retention areas, tidal water, salt marshes,rice fields, water gardens, flower pots, rain barrels, bird baths, tree holes, old tires, pastures, wet lands, etc. Contary to popular beliefs,, mosquitoes can even breed in consistently damp areas, those moist areas unders shrubs, compost piles, trees. Will not harm dragonfly larvae.

Apply uniformly by aerial or ground convectional equipment or hand broadcast. A 7 to 14 day interval between applications should be employed. 2.5 to 10 lbs per acre.
