Spring and Winter: Maintain parasites at above 60 + degrees F. Temperatures below 80 degress F slow the process of hatching.
Summer and Fall: Warmer temperatures cause hatching to occur more quickly. It is normal to receive shipments and find parasites hatching. Release immediately. Hatching will continue over the next several days. Insects should be released at dusk or extremely early morning.
Parasites should be released in "hotspots" areas such as: barns, stables, stalls, around corral posts, paddock areas, fence lines, areas where manure and urine accumulate, perimeters of manure piles, around watering, feeding stations and any other aresa where there is decomposing organic material.
